Instruct students on fundamentals of weightlifting in preparation Teach proper weightlifting procedures such as spotting, team coaching and general weightroom safety Introduce flexibility training to prevent injuries and increase joint range of motion improving overall athletic performance Introduce agility and power training techniques through plyometrics, jumping rope and agility stations Implement basic nutrition program

Program Goals
The goal for the Ultimate P.E. program is to develop and strength train students to perform at the highest level. This program will create a comprehensive and unified weight program for Westview High School. The Ultimate P.E. program is designed to allow students more time to focus on academics and after school activities.
The implementation of the Westview High Ultimate P.E. Wildcat Iron Class will dramatically improve Westview High School, student fitness, and continue to build on our success as an elite school. It will also increase motivation and competition between high school students record and goal setting.
